Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Breast Cancer Awareness blog hop!! We want to spread the news about this deadly disease that could be cured if it is diagnosed in time. I know that each and everyone of us has been touched by someone with cancer or has had it themselves. Please invite your family and friends to participate in the hop. If you have come from Jennifer then you are in the right place. If you want to start from the beginning then please start with Denise she is the Host of this hop. Remember,to be eligible for the blog candy that she is  giving away on her blog, which will be a bag of goodies that you can use to scrap with and a $15.00 gift certificate. You must leave a comment on each blog and become a member of each blog to be eligible for the candy.

I , as I'm sure a lot of us have been affected in some way with Breast Cancer. My project is made with LOVE for my Aunt Betty. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to have a double mastectomy last year. She has been thru a lot as you can imagine, but she is a STRONG women, and has fought this tooth and nail. I will never forget the day she was at my house and said to me, " I'm going to be the first person to gain weight on Cemo", as she was stuffing her face with a LARGE honeybun..... Her determination to fight this UGLY disease inspired me to NEVER let anything get you down no matter what life brings you. She is now doing REAL well and we celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary last week. It was a VERY special time for all of us, because we did not know if she would be with us much longer. I made this project with her in mind, and will be mailing it to her soon. It is a Christmas ornament that I made for her to hang on the tree. I used the clear glass balls that I got at Michaels. I used the Pledge method inside the ball and put pink glitter inside to coat it. I used my vinyl and the cricut to cut out polka dots, the word HOPE and the ribbon to it. Tied some tulle around the top for hanging. Voila there you have it. Hope you enjoy the hop.

your next stop is Tonya I know she is going to have a great project to show you.

Awesome ornament, I just love the story of your Aunt Betty stuffing her face with a honey bun. I can remember saying something similar on one of my surgeries. Got to keep the humor. So glad she is doing well. New follower.

Thank you so much for sharing your story about your aunt. Good for her! It's always nice to read about something good that stems from something so horrible. So glad she is well and I will continue to pray for her to be so. :0) Your project is lovely! Very, very pretty. I used to make ornaments like this with a friend of mine, but haven't done it in years. Might just have to give it a try again! :0)

Be sure to stop by my blog to enter my 500 followers giveaway and stop by my blog for current hops I'm in and a chance to win even more blog candy!

That is such a GREAT idea, I love that you did an ornament. Perfect for a survivor or someone going through the disease, let them know they are love and thought of. Super project!

What a great idea! Love it! So unusual, and for a special time like Christmas, it's a perfect message to have hope, no matter what you've been through.

Well done on being involved in such a worthy cause.
