Valentine Card Blog Hop for Cancer Patients Feb 4th and 5th

DAY TWO

Hi, I'm glad you are back for day two. You should have come from Jearise , If you want to start at the beginning, please go to Mindy's blog . Today I made a simple more traditional card, but I'm sure it will still put a smile on someones face. I used dotted cardstock for the card base, and used white cardstock that I grabbed from my scrap basket. I stamped the words hugs and kisses and a heart and used pot dots to adhere it to the card. I used some red ribbon to add a little something to it, and a couple of red glitter dots.
Now on to CARLA .

Remember to get the Blog candy you must 1. leave a comment 2. Become a follower 3. Become a fan on my Facebook page . Thanks

Valentine Card Blog Hop for Cancer Patients Feb 4th and 5th

Hi everyone and welcome to the Valentine Card Blog Hop for Cancer Patients. If you have stumbled across this hop and want to start at the beginning, please do so by going to Mindy's blog. You should have come from Jearise's blog, so lets get started. This is a very special hop for me. The cards that you will see thru out the hop are all being sent to kids at St. Jude Children Hospital. What a special surprise they will get!! I had to join in on this hop, knowing that there would be a child out there with a BIG smile when they opened their cards. This also is were my daughter wants to work at one day. For today I made a card with a East coast twist. I am from NC and VERY close to the beach. So this crab card was perfect. I'm not a copic user, (can't see spending that kind of money on a pen), so I just used a stampin up pencil and a blendy pen. Not as fancy as some of the copic coloring I have seen on other ladies blogs, but it will do. I know its not your "typical" Valentine card, but the sentiment I felt was appropriate for a parent to give their child. Hope you like it, and come back tomorrow for another card. Now on to your next stop Carla.

I am giving away some Blog candy!! All you have to do is
1. Leave a comment
2. Become a fan of this blog
3. Become a fan of my Facebook page Scrapyourworld
I will pic a winner by Random.org on Monday.
Thanks!!
The blog candy will be Heidi Swapp Clear stamps.

Valentine Mini Album

This is a mini album I made with toilet paper rolls. These are so fun to make, and I love to recycle to I just love how cute a simple toilet paper roll can just brighten up my day... I started by painting the rolls and let them dry. While they were drying I made my tags (top of picture) and stapled ribbon to them. Then I made my photo mats with some glittery kiss paper and polka dots paper. I binded it with my Cinch and added ribbon to the O rings.

Then when I got it all together it looked like this for the front coverage. I added ribbon, tulle, and pearls.

Here are some of the inside pages.

Now its your turn to make one. Start saving those rolls!!!

Valentine Treat Bag

Hello. Well I see you are back!! Today I have a Valentine treat box to add to the card I made my hubby yesterday. I used a toilet paper roll. I painted it pink using my acrylic paints. I crimped one end, filled it with some Hersey kisses and then crimped the other side to close it up. I used some scrap paper that had glittery lip prints on it and cut out the word Kisses from some scrap. I used some pop dots to adhere it to the roll. Added some tulle ribbon, buttons and flowers. I think he will like it, Especially the candy!!! :)

Today was a wonderful SUNNY day. I played outside in my Scrappy Cottage and made some Valentine items. First was a simple card that I made for my hubby. I used my animal print stamps, and some metalic inks on the front, some ribbon and a glittered heart. The other side is a SWEET, MUSHY, GUSHY letter to him. I will spare you that side :) .
come back tomorrow for the CUTE Valentine treat box I made for him to go with his card. It is made out of a toilet paper roll.....

I had so many FABULOUS pictures that I wanted to use everyone of them. I got started on some pages and wanted to share some of them with you. I still have probably 4 more pages I can make. I hope to do that this weekend. But for now, here are some that I finished.

this one I wanted to use her black and white pictures but just have a "little" bit of color so of course it had to be pink!!!

DDscrafts Fabulous Fifty Birthday Blog Hop DAY 2

So your back for day two!!  I hope you enjoyed all the projects yesterday, I know I did!! So many talented ladies on this hop. If you are here from Vicki's blog then you are ready to roll with me. If not then start back at the beginning with Debbie
For my day two project I made a chipboard mini album. I love MINI's . Things are so cute when they are in a small version. I took square chipboard pieces and covered them with paper, put some matting for photos on the pages and added a little embellishment. I could not add to much embellishments because of the size, I wanted to make sure there was enough space for a photo. That's the most important part. RIGHT...
So here are a couple of pics to show the project. Hope you like.

Ok  now you are off to see what Crazyabout Cricut has for you today. And remember, leave a comment to be eligible for the blog candy on Debbie's blog. And If you are not a follower of mine, I would love for you to be one. I will be giving away a little blog candy as well. Come back for day 3 and see what it is!!!

DDscrafts Fabulous Fifty Birthday Blog Hop

First off I want to give Debbie a BIG HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY!!! 50 is FABULOUS and all us ladies wanted to celebrate with her today!! If you have stumbled across this hop and want to start at the beginning , please head over to Debbie's blog. If you have come from Vicki's blog then you are at the right party  Blog.
I really enjoyed making my project. I have seen crafters using toilet paper rolls for mini albums and thought they were so CUTE. I even purchased some from Emily Lanham over at Create Serendipity, so that I could see some close up and personal. So I figured I can do this. So I decided to make a toilet paper roll gift card holder. So fun and FAST to make. I really like the idea of recycling, so it even made it better for me.
so I started out with the roll and cleaned the tissue off as best I could, and flattened it out. I used my bone folder to get a crisp edge.
Then I used some acrylic paint in turquoise and painted all sides and put double sided tape inside one opening and crimped it so that it would stay closed at the end. Then I used my circle punch and punched out an opening so that you could pull out the insert easier.

I looked thru my scrap stash basket and found some pretty turquoise and brown paper and some brown ribbon. PERFECT! I love when I can find scraps to use on a project.
I used the paper on the front and back of the roll. Some prima flowers hot glued, and a Happy Birthday sentiment on a scalloped tag. I made a tag  to adhere the gift card to and stapled the brown ribbon on the edge to help pull out the card. Voila. toilet paper gift card holder. So now its time for you to recycle!! Have Fun!! Now your off to party with Crazyabout Cricut.

And remember in order to be a winner of Debbie's giveaway, you must leave a comment on each blog , each day.

Winter Holiday Blog Hop December 11th

Merry Christmas to you!! I'm glad you have joined us in the Winter Holiday Blog Hop today. If you have come from Alina then you are on the right track. If not then please go back to Denise and start at the beginning. I hope you all enjoy the stops ahead.
My project is a 4 x 6 scrapbook. This is the perfect size to sit on the coffee table. This is the front of the book. I used chipboard letters for the title. I took two pieces of 12 x 12 cardstock and cut them in 6 x 12 sizes and folded them in half. I used my Cinch to punch holes in them and tied them together with ribbon to make the book. I embellished the pages with matting and ribbons. Its all ready to put photos in.

This is two of the inside pages.

Another two pages. I want bore you with all the pages inside.

close up of one page. I used a punch set for the red paper, and embossed the green paper. Then I ran my red ink pad across it to bring out the embossed look better.  I LOVE red and lime green together. I hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Now on to your next stop Jessica

Day TWO

Hi ladies, I hope you are ready for day two. I hope you came from  Lisa  , if not please go back to see her fabulous project first.
My project for day two is an altered Journal that I made. I love having that special notebook to record my year that is passing, so I made this one with Christmas in mind. I love whimsy things and I just feel in love with this SVG file of a cute stocking. I used a regular black and white composition book, scrap paper, Martha Stewart punch, stamped image in silver ink, some rhinestones for some bling and fixed it up for a fun look to write my thoughts in. And everything is fun with some added tulle.

Your next stop is April

"All I Want for Christmas" Blog Hop Dec. 9-10

Day ONE

Hi ladies, I hope you are ready for some Great hopping today. If you came from Lisa then you are in the right place.
Well I don't know about you, but I love the Christmas season. The music, lights, and gift giving. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. My daughter is a teenager now so the "santa" thing has passed in our household, but  my sister has a 2 1/2 year old, that is beginning to get in that "magic" of Christmas age. This year is going to be so much fun when we get together. I can't wait!
Well, on to the hop. Our theme was "All I Want For Christmas". I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this hop. I am not a military wife , but at this time of year I so pray for our guys and gals that are overseas. They are away from their family and kids, and I know it is hard for them. So All I want for Christmas  is PEACE on this earth so that everyone can come home and be with their family.
For my project I made a Christmas ornament for my tree. I used my MTC program and the Curlz font and cut out the word Peace on my cricut expression. I used teal blue glitter inside to give it some sparkle and to go with my color scheme on my tree.
Where ever you are and however you celebrate, I hope you have a good one.

Close up of ornament

I had to add some zebra to it!!!

Now on to your next Fabulous ladies blog April.

Merry Christmas and May God Bless you and your family!!!

Don't forget there is blog candy.
