Sweet 16 Birthday Premade Pages

Hi, guess what.... My daughter has been gone all weekend, soooooo I got to play in the Scraploft for a whole day with NO interuptions. So I thought I would show you one of the two page spreads I made. I actually got 14 pages completed!!!!! WOOO HOOO. Stay tuned I will post the others thru out the week. This Sweet 16 pages had to have ZEBRA on them. Every teen loves zebra, right? I made my own glitter mist a couple of weeks ago, so I spritzed the word SWEET and the balloons with the mist and it looks like glitter paper. What a cheap way to get the effect of glitter.

We were to make something to share with you that was Disney themed. My daughter is a bit older and out of the Disney items, but I just knew that I could come up with something. So I altered a picture frame with a more "teen" inspired look. It has a "Minnie" shape cut out for your photo. I lined it with the "popular" zebra print and spiced it up with BLING.... glitter of course!! My daughter liked it, and wanted to keep it, but I said nope.... cause its my BLOG CANDY!! Explosion Box

I hope that everyone had a GREAT Mothers Day weekend, and that you were SPOILED all day!!! I had a nice day with my family and my Mother. She cried when she read my card. That was the best part of the day knowing that what I wanted to tell her was really felt by her with just some simple words. I love her!!! She is my rock , and my best friend!!
Ok So now on to the post. I made an Explosion Box about two months ago, and forgot to post it on my blog. Since I have been spending some much needed time with my family, I have not crafted anything new to put on here, so I thought I would dig this up from my pictures to share. Very fun to make, and just as easy. Enjoy....

This is the starting point. I had my three "flaps" made.

I started adding my paper and mats to the pages.

started adding some flowers, and things.

made my top to hold it all together.

Finished the top off with a sentiment and handmade flower.

I do not have a "final" picture of the inside with all the pictures. But you get the idea.

This was one of my moms gifts, full of pictures of the grandkids, and inside was her box with a necklace inside with the birthstone pendents of her grandkids on it. It was perfect.

Butterflies & Blogs Birthday Hop!!!!

Welcome to the Butterflies & Blogs Birthday Hop!! First I want to wish Laura a VERY Happy Birthday!!!!This is my very first time being in a blog hop. I am so excited to share my projects with you. A BIG thank you to Laura for letting me participate with so many talented women. If you just came across this hop and you want to start from the beginning then make sure you start HERE. You should have came from Corri's blog to mine. I hope that you will enjoy this HOP and get inspired in so many ways. Now on to my items to share. I made two different items for my hop. I made a altered notebook with Butterflies ( of course).

I used a legal size notepad I got from Staples and had them cut it in half. If your Staples has a copy center inside, just ask at the counter. They have a heavy duty cutter to take care of thick pads like these.Then I used butterfly themed paper to cover it.I used tulle to tie a mechanical pencil to the pad, and  I added a magnet on the back because I love mine on the fridge to put my grocery list in.

Next I made a paper bag album. Which I love to make. Here are a couple of pictures of the one that I made for the hop. I used three paper bags, folded them together, tied it with ribbon, and decorated. I used several Martha Stewart border punches, made some handmade flowers and lots of ribbon.

WOW Craft Shows

Hi ladies, I have been so busy trying to get inventory made for upcoming craft shows. For those of you out there who have done this, you know its hard work. I wanted to show you some of my little goody jars that I made. You can use them for almost anything!!! I decided to make these three for the animal lovers to put their treats in them. They can also be customized with a name. I hope you ladies are having a FANTASTIC week. The weather here in NC has been a fabulous 80 degrees. AAHHHHH I here Summer right around the corner!!!!

Happy Birthday 4 x 6 Album

Well, its been a couple of weeks since I have posted anything for you guys. I am an Accountant, and as you know this time of the year is Caotic. I did manage to slip to the scrapping cove this weekend and make some items. This album is 4 x 6 and is a Happy Birthday theme book. Could be used for a girl or boy. I used mostley primary colors so it could work for both genders. The clown was a svg file I had from TBD. I stamped his face with Peachy Keen face stamps. Used my Cinch to bind it. Simple, but I wanted to show you a little of what I had a chance to do.

Scrappin Roots Monthly Layout Challenge

So Erin over at spantastikreations is haveing this FUN challenge that I just had to join. This months challenge is to make a 1 or 2 page birthday theme layout! I used some SVG files instead of my cricut. Hope you like it.

My First Video 3-D flowers

Ok, so here is the video that I was talking about in my last post. I'm new at this video thing, so bare with me as I learn how to make these better. I need to get me a tripod too, that probably would help keep my big hands out of the way... :) Any whooooo, Hope this helps explain the pics and instructions on my last post. And remember I'm a southern girl, so  you might here a little twang in there. Happy Crafting!!! Oh and you will also have to go and cut the music player off before watching the video.

3-D flower tutorial

Hi Ladies, I have been having so much fun today crafting. I hope you did too!! I made these cute flowers today for the top of an explosion box I was making, so I thought I would do a tutorial on how to make them. I have pictures and instructions, and I also did a video.... oh my gosh did I say video... Well this was my VERY first time trying to attempt the video thing. I'm not sure how to make the video so you can see everything without my big hands getting in the way, and the gnat that kept flying around me ( I had the door open while I was working today because it was SOOO nice outside). But I promise I will get better at it. Practice, practice, practice RIGHT? So I will put the video on here only if you promise not to laugh to hard at my bad blurry hands,my Southern draw, or at one point you cant see what Im doing because I got off camera...... so do you still want to see it???? Just know that the finished product is something you are going to want to get your hands in. So enjoy.

First punch eight circles from patterned paper.

fold and hot glue a pleat into seven of the circles. Fold the last circle into quarters, then open flat. Then hot glue a pleated circle to the center of the open quartered circle. Add the other pleated circles layering each one around the base circle to get the flower look. Add an expoxy sticker, bead, or brad in the center and you are done. I am having a hard time posting the video. So I think I will try it in a seperate post.

She is SOOOO sweet, and I have enjoyed getting to know her on Facebook. I just wish we lived closer so we could meet, but maybe one day I will win the lottery and get to fly over and have some scrapping fun with her.... :)
